How much does it cost in Rupees, for eye Lasik Surgery?

I am from USA, want to get the surgery does as cheap as possible, so i want to know the alternative, either here or in India. How much it cost in India.

Lasik Eye Surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her dental implants and lasik surgery in India by a company called Forerunners Healthcare. The Price for dental and lasik surgery is very less in India. She paid 25% of the price she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India They arrange Dental surgery, jaw surgery, lasik eye surgery, Dental Implants etc for foreign patients in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and magazines- about their patient stories.
They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low cost, as dental and eye surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

I don’t think so. Eyesight is arguably your most important sense… if even one in ten thousand patients are blinded as a result of lasik, what if that one person is you? Are you willing to take such a huge huge risk for the ease of not wearing glasses?

I work in a carehome, and a client had laser surgery. We had to put eyedrops in her eye 2 times a day three days before the surgery. She was back the same day as the surgery. We had to continue with eyedrops in her eye 3 times a day. And put a patch on her eye at night. Aslo we didn’t wash her hair as the water and anything else would irritate it. She never complained of pain or discomfort. She just said that everything was shiney and kind of blury.

All I can tell you is that 90% of the people who do it are happy with it. Its almost pain free too. You will see clear as soon as they do it. If you do it and you cant see, They will tell you that it is swelled and it will get better. It wont. But as I said most people have no issues at all. Now…..later in life if you develop glaucoma… you have made your eye thinner. Glaucoma is pressure in the eye. If you have a point of your eye that is thinner….*POP*! Your eye could explode. This isnt a joke. They are conducting research on this now. If you do this….make sure to see a doctor every year or if your have any issues! I would suggest it if you are responsible enough.
