Should I Get Lasik

Should I Get Lasik? How do you decide?
I have worn glasses and contacts for years however my vision isn’t horrible. Its about -2.00 in each eye. Still its enough that I pretty much need to wear contacts all the time. It can be a pain but I’m not sure if I hate it. My contacts irritate my eyes sometimes and that’s a pain. I have been thinking about getting lasik. Im only 19 and I don’t think my prescription has stabilized yet so it wouldn’t be immediately however the thought has been crossing my mind lately. Should I get it or are my eyes not bad enough? Is this something I would know if I wanted?
Hi there, I work on behalf of LasikPlus, and am hoping to provide you a little more information on the topic of LASIK. There are many reasons an individual may consider LASIK from discomfort in contacts on a day to day basis, impaired vision interrupting physical fitness, etc. Everyone has their own unique reason. In terms of candidacy, here are some general guidelines:
• You are at least 18 years old.
• You are in good general health.
• You have no health issues affecting your eyes.
• You have no active eye conditions that might affect healing.
• You have had a stable vision prescription for at least one year.
• You are not pregnant, and have not been pregnant or nursing in the last 6 months.
While this is some of the general information that I can provide on the topic, every person’s eyes are different. In order to provide the most accurate information and have all your questions answered it’s best to visit a center and speak with a physician. I’m happy to direct you to the closest LasikPlus Vision Center for a free, no-obligation consultation to determine if Laser Eye Surgery could be right for you. Additional information can be found at http://tinyurl.com/LasikPlus or by calling: 1 (866) 953-0282. I hope this information was helpful!

It’s usually between 1,200 and 1,600 an eye. My husband has LASEK done (a little different than LASIK) about 8 months ago and is VERY happy he did. His eyes were around -5.75 before and now they’re +0.25. He was in quite a bit of pain the first couple days, but overall, it was worth it.

I haven’t had Laser Eye Surgery with them yet – due to go in on 26th September. A friend of mine had a great experience with them, she can’t sing their praises loudly enough. So I look forward to reading your other answers to the question
