Military Lasik

Lasik Surgery through the military?
I’m in the Navy, serving in the reserves. My vision is less than perfect. I want to Get Lasik surgery. I’ve heard of the military giving Lasik surgery to soldiers going overseas. I’ve asked around at my local command but no one seems to know anything. Does anyone know where or how I can get the military to perforn the procedure?
Thank you.
You have heard correctly. They offer lasik and PRK surgery to active duty personnel, but it isn’t just for those going overseas. I know that the surgeries are performed at Balboa and Norfolk and various marine bases, but the referal must come from the parent command.
I’m not sure if reserves are offered the surgery unless they are on active status. That is something to address with the medical officer.
Good Luck.
