I had the surgery in 1998, I still have 20/15 vision and saw clearly as soon as I got out of the chair. I never have regretted the surgery, and would do it again in a heartbeat. I had really thick glasses that cost me a fortune and my contact lens bill was through the roof. The first night after the 10 minute painless procedure is slightly uncomfortable, it feels like you have an eyelash in your eye. The eye heals rather quickly and as long as you don't rub your eyes and use the antibiotic eye drops as prescribed you will be fine in a few days. It is absolutely worth it! I did it 9 years ago and technology is far better & safer now.( It is also cheaper now)
