well, I got glasses about 20 years ago and eye surgery was available then but wasn’t recommended for me. It has come a long way in those 20 years though! Now there is All Laser Lasik with no blades at all. That is cool.

Well, I accompanied my friend when she had it done and from what I saw, I could not have it done myself! Mind you, she now has perfect vision. After the surgery, she had very dry eyes for a couple of weeks which caused her a bit of discomfort and she needed to wear sunglasses a lot. She would recommend it to anyone. I have another friend who had it done 8 years ago and she said it gave her a whole new lease of life! I personally would not have it done, I’m too squeamish and the long term effects aren’t really known other than the possibility of needing reading glasses when you reach middle age.

I think they won’t put you under because it’s important that they be able to see your eye react as they work. They can perscribe Valium or another sedative, which will help a lot.

eyes and ageing are expensive ,its really is down to you how you spend your money,glasses cost upward of eighty pounds depending on use can last ten to twelve years lesser correction cost around two thousand pounds and it will have a better outcome I buy cheap glasses at the local shops I’m aways putting them down them can’t remember where I left them
