Lasik Nightmare

lasik nightmare
I want to Get Lasik eye surger but my eyes are super sensitive….can you be unconcious during the procedure?

When i look at bright colors, my eyes hurt. I can’t see underwater. I cant even have anything next to my eyes besides glasses. When the doctors shine lights in my eyes, i can barely open my eyes enough for them to look into them. If I could just be unconcious it would save me soooooo much time, unwanted nightmares, flashbacks, episodes where i wake up in the shower huddled in a corner crying with cold water pouring down on me. Please let me know if anyone you know has done the procedure unconcious…… thanks a bunch.

If light sensitivity is the key to your misery with the thought of the procedure: my estranged husband had lasik a couple years ago, and said that he actually could not see while the laser surgery was being done. His eye was manually flattened out by a machine for the 15 or so seconds it took to actually do the work, and the pressure made the vision in that eye go black; he saw nothing. (Now, the idea of one’s eye getting squooshed to do this doesn’t appeal to me either, but, you have all kinds of eyedrops in so you don’t feel it, plus a valium if you’re antsy, he said…)

I’m sure it would be okay, although I would wait. Your vision may not be set yet, and may get worse as you get a little older. And contacts really aren’t that bad! I would wait a few years before you have it done.

Lasik is just simply a type of Laser Eye Surgery

It’s a relatively safe procedure, it’s important to go to the physician with the best technology and equipment. Many people I know have had the surgery and have never regretted it.
