Can I pay for Lasik Surgery through a Health Savings Account (HSA)?

I’ve got a health savings account where I can contribute up to $5,000 tax free. Can I use this money for Lasik surgery even though this is considered “cosmetic” surgery?

You should be able to but check with your human resources person to be sure

    Yes, a -1.75 rx is a perfect candidate for lasik. You just want to find a reputable surgeon. Ask around to friends and co-workers that have had it done. And most surgeons have free consultations – so they could answer any questions you have. It is definitely worth the money. I had it done 2 yrs ago and it is so nice to be free of glasses and contacts. Hope this helps!!
