I don't know about the "not uncomfortable" part though. I had a bit of a lag in picking up my pain meds/sedatives after the surgery and the numbing drops wore off before I had them in my system. It was bearable, but definitely uncomfortable. After my 6 hour "nap" you take afterwards though I was perfectly fine as long as I kept up my eye drops. You learn to not forget them VERY quickly. The first few weeks are annoying with all the drops you have to put in your eyes, but better than getting an infection.
