LASIK for Asian’s eyes?
I am planning to have a LASIK in NYC. I am an Asian. Those Asian doctors here claim that Asian’s eyes are different than those of non-Asians. Therefore, I’d better have this surgery with an Asian doctor.
Is this true?
Besides, in what situation Wavefront will be necessary for LASIK?
Any answer will be appreciated.
I think I would not necessarily go with an Asian doctor, as I would the doctor who has done the procedure on the most Asians.
I think someone who is very experienced in the surgery is more important than their heritage.

I’ve had luck with it. I don’t know about the "not uncomfortable" part though. I had a bit of a lag in picking up my pain meds/sedatives after the surgery and the numbing drops wore off before I had them in my system. It was bearable, but definitely uncomfortable. After my 6 hour "nap" you take afterwards though I was perfectly fine as long as I kept up my eye drops. You learn to not forget them VERY quickly. The first few weeks are annoying with all the drops you have to put in your eyes, but better than getting an infection. I was pretty much all healed up and not needing any drops around the 5 month point.
