These lasers were created by dentists, receiving extensive clinical trials before receiving Federal Drug Administration approval. This technology is set to reinvent periodontal surgery as we know it.

I joined the military too (Marines) and I also wear glasses. I would really like to get eye surgery (it affects my MOS), and while it's possible the military will pay for it- usually there's a long line. You should look it up at the websites for surgery- they'll tell you requirements. The main one is you should be in your early 20s before getting the surgery so your eyes' perscription has leveled out and doesn't change at all. That's the big one for me b/c i'm only 17. Oh well- I'll just have to wear the BC's in boot camp.

Any type of surgery is inherently risky. The way it is done now is so common that the risks are really small. Just make sure you go with a good doctor who has done a lot of the procedures, and don't go to one of the places that advertises. Never use a Dr who advertises, nor a lawyer, there is a reason they advertise, they are not good enough to (or are greedy) get word of mouth or recommendations from other Dr's

Not yet since you say your prescription is getting worse. Your eyes need to have a stable prescription for at least two years before you can get laser. Plus, there is no guarantee that laser surgery is a permanent fix. 10 years down the line you may need glasses again.
