Keratoconus Lasik Surgery
I got meps waiver for my eyes denied for Marines, because i’ve got keratoconus?
I want to join the Marines after school but I need surgery to fix my eye disorder. The only possible solution would be to get Lasik Surgery, but I’d have to wait a year til my 18th birthday… Is there any way that they’ll approve of my eyes or do I need to wait of age before I can join.
I will join no matter what. Doc said its unlikely they’ll accept me but thats not going to stop me its just a matter of time
well, you have to be at least 17, and have your eye fixed. if you go to MEPS with the eye problem you WILL be disqualified. You need to get that fixed. The risk is not worth it, just wait it out and get your surgery.
No Lasik for me…I have Keratoconus!
