So, My Husband got Lasik done Monday February 11th, 08.
Its been 3days, the dr gave him Steroids, Antibiotics, & fake tears to put in something like every 2hours. Not exactly sure, but hes been doing exactly what the dr has said to do, he also wears the protective glasses to bed, & sun glasses during the day.
This morning we got up and we checked his eyes and there was a big like red spot going across of the top of his left eye.
We called the Dr, and told them that hes feeling like something is in all the time in his eye, and told them about that red spot.
Dr. Wasnt to concerned about the red spot at all more concerned about the feeling of something being in his eye. My Husband asked them if he could have moved the flap on acident and the dr said You would definately Know if you moved the flap, but if it keeps feeling like something is in your eye though, come on in.
So, I was just wondering for those of you who have had Lasik done, anyone else go through something like this?

I had LASIK done several years ago and didn’t experience any of those issues. My brother just had it done last week however and he said his eyes constantly felt dry. Perhaps the dryness is just causing irritation? As far as the red spot goes, my brother also experienced that and we discovered there is the semi-common occurrence of blood vessels in your eye popping. My brother’s lasted a couple of days and then went away (which seems the common occurrence). If it doesn’t look like it could be a popped blood vessel, I would recommend trying to get a follow-up appointment. Especially if they are irritating your husband 3 days later. Not much help, sorry, but I don’t think the red spot is anything to be concerned with either. Wish I could provide more help with the irritation.
