no way any insurance covers that – it elective surgery – you have to pay it all yourself

Laser surgery has changed over the past decade and it is much easier and healthier for the recipient. And, laser surgery is the last in a line of other resources for eye care. Before my eye doctor considers surgery, he is recommending drops. My glaucoma (comes with aging) is acting up. I’ll do the drops before resorting to surgery even though I trust what he has done for me already.

No-if the Eye Surgeon declares you a candidate for Lasik Eye Surgery then it can only benefit you.Were there any risks even slight it would not be recommended to you.Any other surgery on the eye done with laser can actually reduce recovery time since there is no cutting etc as in knife surgery and in some instances even less risk. But should only be done by a well qualified and skilled MD..so it is always wise to check on the credentials of the surgeon for any procedure is risky if done by unqualified person.You can always ckeck with the Medical Board to make sure no complaints etc.and your doctor should be Board Certified
