Those are high prescriptions. I think the chance of contacts not being available in those powers in the future is very low. You could have LASIK to reduce your prescription but it would not be to the level where you could function without glasses or contacts. Your glasses prescription would still be high enough to make your glasses unattractive. It is generally more complicated to fit contacts on eyes that have had surgery. If you are wearing contacts successfully, you should continue to do that. Be aware of new advancements in refractive surgery. I think you do not need to worry about being forced back into glasses.
